My two cents

Just been reading the BBC update on the newco situation and most of the tweets from the bears appear to be this "lets go to div 3 and make all the teams suffer" attitude or the "just trying to put the boot into ra gers" one.

I dont understand this. Sevco as a new club are applying for membership in scottish football and as the rules state they should start in div 3. This is not "putting the boot in", this is the precedent and the rules. There should be no consideration given to the size of there fan base and the monies that can be extracted from them. End of.

Now that brings me to my next point. As a new entry to the league they cannot and should not have any penalties or sanctions against them. It makes no sense whatsoever.

This should have been the case as soon as liquadation took place and we wouldnt be in this "limbo" state we appear to be in.

The fact we are discussing other options is preposterous and nonsensical. Although I suspect as usual somebodies pockets will be getting lined to keep this farce on the go. Red tops, lawyers, accountants and the shadowy figures of the SFA are the main benefactors in my opinion.

Cold heard facts: Rangers are responsible for 28% of the ENTIRE income of the ENTIRE Scottish football League setup.
There may be plenty of fans of other clubs, but I know for a fact that it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack to find a good number who turn up week in, week out

I have no doubt you are correct, but the fact that Rangers...

are responsible for 28% of the ENTIRE income of the ENTIRE Scottish football League setup...

Is a bad thing and very unhealthy for Scottish football as a whole. Now may be a good time to create a better balance in the Scottish game.It would help if Celtics large share could also be reduced at this time.

Sorry mate but that is complete and utter madness, how can you restrict someones income?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well Rangers will, due to relegation have income restricted, I would also put a wage cap on Celtic to run until Rangers return to the SPL. This would make the SPL more open and lead to...

...other so called fans to get up off their erchie and watch a game...

I can't believe that most fans of Rangers and Celtic really like the two horse race the SPL is, if other clubs are given a realistic chance at the league attendances should increase accross the board and competition can only be good for the Scottish game.

Question

How much of the entire English League's income are the top 4/5 in England responsible for??

Do you really think the Premier League would be getting such massive amounts of TV money without them??

How healthy is that???

and before anyone says 4/5 clubs are better than just the two.....there's 92 clubs in England, there's 42 in Scotland
