P.s. He has dedicated the award to the medical staff. Everything about this story is good and positive.

Admittedly I ran through the article quite quickly last night and assumed he had graduated. I believe he is studying a for a degree?

On another note, does anyone think he will play apart next season?

I dont think he will play this season or again.im just glad the lad survived that awful night and is living his life to the full now.

I never agree with these awards. It's a slap in the face for the people who put in four years or more hard work.
Hopefully Fab gets back to fitness and can play again. Chances are the doctors will not allow it though.

I think he said that he wants to play again. Whether or not it will happen I'm not sure.

I think he should just enjoy life and go into coaching. It's a lot less stressful and there is hopefully much less chance of his problem happening again.

You can't really give an doctorate to the medical staff that saved him due to the fact they have already got those particular qualifications therefore Muamba, has been given it and fair play. There have been honorary qualifications given out to far less deserving than he.

Not really on about this type of award. I am saying that the award should not go to him for surviving but to the people that made it happen. I know he has dedicated his award to them but I just think they are more deserving. Anyway he has it and that's it.

I think like alot of people I am skeptical about the idea of these awards, although in this case its clearly well intentioned.

I think possibly if they had wanted to celebrate Fabrice surviving then naming a university award after him would have been more fitting. Something like an award to an outstanding student within the medical school, maybe to whoever gets the highest grade on their final exam or dissertation. Just a thought.

Yeah there's nothing about Bolton uni grabbing publicity here, pretty much every uni offers out honourary degrees

I don't agree with them as I think they day should be about the students, but that's another debate (this coming from the person who has declined to attend his own graduation ceremony this week but hey ho)

It's a tragic publicity stunt from a university recognised as the worst in England.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Firstly, can I just say it is not recognised as the worst in England, and I find its rep to be quite unfair, as a recent graduate from there I found the facility's, the staff and the uni as a whole to be excellent.

It's a realitivly new uni and its not going to get an amazing reputation overnight, but its growing year on year, and certain courses there are regarded very very highly. I hate it when people slag the Uni off just because its in Bolton, which seems to be the case in my experience.

Sorry to bring that up in this article, but it just annoyed me.

As for Fab. its a nice gesture to everyone involved in saving his life, although I do agree that maybe naming an award after him might have been more appropriate.
