Reo, Reo, wherefore art though, Reo

Just had a look at West Ham's squad and he's not in that, and he doesn't have a club on WIkipedia.

So, I was wondering a couple of things, can he un-cancel his contract and say he's staying? I'm pretty sure he can't, but if he could/or the club offered him the chance to stay, would you be happy to have him back?

He's burned his bridges for me and I wouldn't want him near the club. He hardly, as captain, set a good example once the season had ended.

No thanks. Good riddance.

I am under the impression, but could be mistaken, that he had until 1st July to decide to stay. Again, I could be wrong, but given that all PL contracts end on 1st July in a given year, and that it was -his- option to cancel his contract, that would make sense. I might tweet Gartside, I am curious to know.

I have no bitterness towards the guy. He had an option in his contract to l;eave the club if we were relegated. He obviously felt that he could find a Premiership club but that hasn't happened yet.

Maybe some club will decide to take a punt on him as all it will cost is wages. As for us taking him back, he would probably have to take a reduction in wages and that may have been one of the stumbling blocks which decided he would leave for pastures new.

Would I like him back, YES, YES, YES. I feel he would be a great asset for us in the Championship.

I really can't see that he has done anything wrong.

He hasn't done anything wrong as such. It just left a bitter taste and made all of his rallying cries in the Evening News ring a bit hollow.

It's nice (and naive) to at least think the players want to be there. If he was to play next season, it'd be purely because nobody else wanted him.

Completely agree SWIE

Imagine if we'd bought a duffer on a 4 year contract and after 12 months we realised he was terrible.. We'd really hope the club had a clause to bomb him out...

We agreed to the clause, it's his right.. He was erratic at times, but led from the front & never seemed to go missing. I'd happily take him back, but there's no chance.

Good luck to him, he moves on & so do we...

I don't want anyone back, after they took the first opportunity to get out. I don't care that he would be good for Div1, first sign of conflict in the dressing room, it would cause a problem.

I'd rather have a player committed to the cause. He isn't.

I agree with swie that's just football in the modern age. It was a mistake to make him captain last season

to me he was a bit of a big time charlie who thought he was doing us a favour by playing for us.he also had one or two goes at his colleagues when he was not exactly blameless himself probably destroying other players confidence.the strop he pulled at swansea was pathetic and not befitting of a team captain.i say good riddance and dont come back.

Fulham...apparently.

Was only ever keeping the captain's armband warm whilst SKD was out of form/having his getting old moment.

Fact is we needed a defensive midfielder and Reo-Coker didn't seem to want to do this duty for the whole of the game. Always pestering his fellow midfielder to be the deep lying stopper for a bit - Not bad if you're alongside a defensive minded player like Muamba but certainly not Mavies or Pratley.
