Just thought I would start a thread on this year's championship, for those of you who are interested. Feel free to post your views, gripes, tips etc.
The usual suspects such as Woods, McIlroy, Westwood and Donald etc will appear on many people's lists as a likely winner, although there have been enough outsiders that have won in recent years to show that this is not always the case. Some will point to proven links form, others will highlight those recent overseas winners with little links experience.
Interesting that we are on a fairly long run of different major winners (15 I think), with the last 6 being first timers. So will both those trends be continued after Sunday?
I personally like to have a punt on such events, and whilst outright golf betting is somewhat of a lottery, big priced winners are a regular occurence, if you can manage to find them!
I have gone for Garcia (perennial underachiever) with bigger priced speculative bets on JM Singh, Huh and Baldwin.
So what do you think? Will Woods get back on the major trail? Will McIlroy come out of a recent slump? Will Donald or Westwood finally break their ducks? Or will a rank outsider come out on top again?
Let's hear what you have to say!

Just hoping McDowell can pull off something special today. Gone a bit crazy on various combinations of the following 2 balls today:
Watson beat Daly
JM Singh beat Cabrera-Bello
Sterne beat Estes
Larrazabal beat Choi
Mulroy beat Dyson
Badwin beat Bradley

Big John does me a favour by going double bogey, bogey on 17 and 18 to lose to Watson by one
I know I'm pretty much talking to myself here, but just in case anyone else is reading this thread

Great finish by Els, and somewhat surprising that Scott collapsed like he did. You really have to question if Scott will win a major now, because the mental scars from this will run deep.
We've seen in a lot of events recently how difficult players find it to cope with the pressure of holding the lead going into the final round, and losing tournaments from some great positions. And yet someone like Woods has won all his majors from the front.
I think the mentality of most golfers is different to that of Tiger's. He has a 'win no matter what' attitude, most others it's a case of 'I hope to win' rather than a total strong belief in themselves.

Hello everyone. I'm not a golf player or expert, but as a fan of most sports I will be watching the Ryder Cup and hoping for a Europe win.

Just realised that this isn't the Ryder Cup thread
