Skrtel exit strategy

I have just seen on the BBC sportsday feed, Martin Skrtel has received offers and has given no guarantees over his Anfield future. He did add that, "I am a player of Liverpool, because I have a valid contract here. There exists a number of offers but without the permission on Liverpool nothing can move forward.

Sounds to me like he wants an exit?

I think you are right T Bone.

Kenny had utter contempt for the media (with justification after Hillsborough), and refused to hide it.

Unfortunately in the SSN, Twitter 24hr world that we live in today, you just can't be like that.

I am not saying you have to be like 'Arry and do all your interviews out of a car window on your driveway, but there is a happy medium.

Oh Andy Carroll that world class striker that only played for 1 month to get in the England squad. Give it a rest will you. He was hopeless for 8 months and didn't pull his weight.

If we sell him that will be BR's decision and i would agree with him if he did. We need winners not prima donnas.

Speaking of Suarez, this will be his last season at out club unless we start to make a move on the top four. I don't think some of the Liverpool fans with their heads buried in the sand understand what a dire situation we are in.

Mist people on this board seem to think that BR will get Liverpool playing tiki taka and with a few years we will be back at the top, it won't happen without investment to get the right players in.

To that end it would have been best to stick with Kenny if FSG want to lumber the new manager with less than a wheelbarrow of cash.

We don't have the players capable of executing the system BR wants to play. We do have players in place to get the ball in to AC and Suarez in a more direct way.

Why change the manager and put him on a limited budget? Ffs

All we needed was to keep KD in there and show a bit of faith. Instead we have another upheaval and no money to back it up.

We will invest once we are back inthe Champions league and can attract world class. We can't sttract world class that is why we ended up spending ridiculous money on Hendo, Downing & Carroll.

The club was in a mess when they took over. They are rying to get us back where we belong. This won't happen over night.

T-BONE.

Again, please provide links to Kenny's "speaking too much about the Suarez situation".
While you're at it, please provide some evidence to support your theory that: "We were attacked by the press, the public and all the anti racist groups because Kenny spoke too much". You may struggle, because the truth is, it's the other way round.

I don;t need to provide links.

Any true fan can rememebr what our club put up with during the Suarez situation.

Take your blinkers off.

T-BONE.

You're the only one with blinkers, mate.
The Murdoch media has had an anti-liverpool agenda (the club and the city) since the 80s. Sadly, this feeds down into people like yourself being unable to see how your opinions are being manipulated.
You may think I'm a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist, and that's fine, just do some research first.
Try reading 'Manufacturing Consent' by Chomsky or 'Hidden Agendas' by John Pilger. It'll open your eyes.

If you read my earlier comment it stated i stood by Suarez.

My point was Kenny did it in the wrong way and the media fed their faces on his outbursts.

I never once mentioned i agreed with the media for gods sake. I have spent every living day since hillsborough against the media so don;t give me that.

What i was saying was that the owners did not like the way he handled it as it brought a lot of bad press. If that is so difficult to take on board then i will leave this conversation as you are contradicting yourself.

I'm not contradicting myself. I just don't happen to agree that Kenny acted any differently in front of the media than any other manager. Most managers give blanket answers to questions because they no how the media can twist your words.
I happen to believe there is an agenda against LFC within the media as they did the same character assassination job on Kenny that they did on Rafa and, if Rodgers starts to be successful at the club they'll do the same thing to him. Mark my words.
