Should the shoulder charge be banned?

I just think the shoulder charge is a lazy tackle, normally delivered by a "big" bloke on an opponent where they think they'll not get damaged themselves. It's a cheap and lazy shot in my books.

The ref was right (in my opinion) to send off Puletua on Friday night. Luckily the fella wasn't that badly injured, but it was oh so close - and most importantly simply not needed.

Head high tackles are penalised - so should these. If you think about it, you can send through far more force with your shoulder than you ever normally can with an arm.

No more shoulder charges for me ..... the blokes going on the pitch aren't the best paid in the world, yet provide a stunning 80 minutes of entertainment. They take enough risks as it is without increasing the stakes even more................

I do think a few of moden players have forgotten the golden rule about tacking and that is "They can't run without their legs" When i was a schoolboy the first tackle was always the legs, or should have been. The second was the upper body tackle to stop the player releasing the ball.
