That really doesn't sound like Bates' modus operandi to me. Why would he suddenly start splashing out on players if he's selling the club. I think he'd be more likely to sell what's left of our quality players and disappear into the sunset with the loot, chuckling to himself that he'd shafted us one last time.

What politics? He's a right wing toerag who blustered his way to bans from more than one football forum for having multiple accounts, and trying to intimidate others. Personally I'd be surprised if many on here would want him back, I certainly don't.
