Here's one for you history buffs, the league table from 1899-1900.
Plenty of familiar names there but no sign of Manchester United, were they playing in Division 2 that year, was there a Division 2?

Did you know public money was used to repair old Trafford after the war, not the clubs money but public money.

It was funded by the War Damages Comission or the taxpayer as it's more commonly known.

Yes, it was war damage - they were hit by German bombs (not like R Madrid, where they just ran out of money and expected the govt to bail them out). It was common for this to happen in both the private and public sector. If you look at your insurance details you will notice that they don't pay out for war - the govt does that.

I'am still waiting for a council tax refund after I (because I'am a manc unlike most city fans on here) had to pay towards the building of the Athletics Staduim for the people of Manchester which was then took over by odd lot.

It is a bit much expecting a council tax refund, surely you have to pay council tax in the first place.
