Town are reportedly interested in signing Norwich City striker James Vaughan.
He was blighted by injuries last season, is he worth a gamble? He is only 24 years old, so young enough to heal quickly.
According to The Mirror, Town boss Simon Grayson is prepared to make a £1m move for the forward with the promise of first-team football. Our nemesis, Mr Clark, is also reportedly interested.
I think Vaughan has plenty to offer and the kind of striker Town need.
What are your thoughts?

Vaughan is injury prone (like Naysmith was) and I wouldn't touch him with a Barge pole.
He's been a pro now for 7 seasons and managed just 92 games scoring 17 goals, which averages out at 13 games & 2 goals/season.
2005/06: Suffered a knee ligament injury early season which sidelined him for the rest of the campaign.
2006/07: Sufferd a severed artery in his foot.
2008/09: Dislocated shoulder - out for 3 months and returned and then suffered a cartilage tear.
2011/12: Suffered another knee injury and was out for 3/4 months before returning to action and lasting one hour, before suffering a hamstring injury.
We'd be better off bringing Frankie Vaughan back from the land of the dead.

it might be from games he has actually started.. loan move, dependant on wether we can send him straight back when the next injury strikes.. kieron dyer ring any bells???
wrong league to have an injury prone player...suspect now snodgrass is about to "bail out" , mcormack will "hurry along" also to wherever he is going..if thats us then im ok with that move..
I like southern as a player, would be happy for him to come to town..
Iwas hoping for all the moves in/out would be almost done by now...another 2/3 ins and we will be playing 3 teams in each friendly so all the new players get a kick..

James Vaughan's stats are on his wiki page ~

Hes 24 years Old, and only ever scored 17 pro goals...
JR scored more than that in a month earlier this year......
Although to be fair, he must have something if everton kept him for 10 years.....

Anyway its high time Larry nudged a few out of the door before we sign anymore, The usual suspects should be doing one now, Not hanging around like a bad smell just picking up their over inflated wages, WTF has happened to a players pride and wanting regular games ??? I cannot believe anybody would want to waste their career not playing games and just picking \a wage up !!!!

I think it's good that we are being ambitious with our signings at the moment...
We're not pulling up any trees, but they are all potentially decent players.....
If we end up with 7 new players, then I reckon with a success rate of 66% from them, we will have improved our squad enough to at least survive the Championship jungle....
Seen that Aiden Chippendale, has left for Accrington Stanley....Who are they????
Had a day off work today and watched the PO final for the first time since the day....Tears of joy, once again #paradise ..

If you're on a contract at £100,000 pa,you are not going to walk away from it, nor seek another job that 'only' pays perhaps £60,000 pa...why would you ?
Players are just like anybody else, they have families, mortgages, bar bills....kids education....tattoos to pay for...
