Last year saw quite a few young players rise in to the first team
szczsney
frimpong
coquelin
miquel
jenkinson
Who will it be this year? Ryo, Afobe, Eifeld, Aneke?
Young players breaking through

Ryo hopefully. The kid looks really quick and might be able to beat a man which would be nice.

More of a neccessity rather then actually breaking into the first team. Jury's out on Frimpong. Only time will tell about him. Same with Miguel. Played out of position and didn't look to great out left. Jenkinson i'm still not convinced.
Only player there that shone to some extent was Coq.

I wonder if Eisfeld is going to be given a run-out or will it be loan for him too. Looked fairly decent yesterday, though he didn't play that long.

I think Ryo just because he has had 6 months at Prem level with Bolton. I do think Afobe has a big future though, he just needs time on loan in the EPL to gain some experience and know-how.

I was really impressed with ryo, he looked calm and confident whenever he had the ball

I don't think they're actually ready yet. I think it was different last year with Coquelin and Frimpong, who I believe will consolidate their position in the squad or out on loan. Ryo seems the most likely, but I don't think he really has a place beyond the Carling Cup just yet.

Talking about Young hopefuls, Pedro Botelho has joined Atletico Paranese.
No appearances and 4 loan clubs. What a load of tripe!

He could have been our new Bischoff

Jenkinson is impressing me, staff rate him very highly. Yennaris looks solid, same for aneke aswell but frimpong I have never rated at all.
