.... a seemingly obvious thread topic which has been discussed to death.
The usual names always pop up - Pele, Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo etc
I however, think that there is a player whose name gets mentioned every now and again but never as one of the leading candidates.
Never has a footballer looked more comfortable with the ball at his feet.
He scored great goals with both feet and was great in the air.
His most important attribute was reading the game. Some players could do great things with a football but this player had a great footballing brain.
They say you have to prove yourself on the biggest stage - something that I've not always agreed with. I'm certainly not going to look back on Messi as an average player just because he never set the World cup on fire. This player however, did just that.
Messi and Ronaldo can run around 4/5 players before slotting the ball away. and because dribbling with the football is a joy to watch for any spectator, it does give these lads a slight advantage when being considered for titles such as 'Greatest'
But I firmly believe that whilst this is subjective, my nomination really does need to be more widely acknowledged.
Ladies and Gentlmen - the greatest player of all time ...

You could do the Margery Doors diet; cut everything in half. It’s half the calories so you can eat twice as much.
I’ve actually been watching the beer belly recently, I’ve been looking like a penguin going to work in massive trousers till I bought some new ones last night. I’ve dropped three suit size in about 2 months!

Good work Bluedroog. Well done
It's tough, I put on a bit of weight without playing football, so I joined the gym to lose it and I've ended up doing about 3 months of weight training and putting about 2 stone on.

so I must have been supporting Liverpool at that stage.

I knew your age and your story of how you came to support Liverpool but never put an age as to when that started.
When I see a comment like I've been a red/blue for 30 years, I wonder when the person regarded themselves as having started 'following' their team. I guess that's why I thought you were both the same age based on previous comments I've read.
