They've bought well, basically nicked hazard and mata from us but fair play to them for doing what's right for the club.
However I don't think they are better than the current arsenal side simply because they have no drogba <smile>
Anyone envious of chelsea?

Lady Eowyn, why have you given up on your stories

chelsea seem to have a very productive pre season, my biggest concern for them is that all these players will need to play a completey different style of play to lampard and co, for instance terry looked like a duck out of water playing a highline i bet we finish above them especially if we sign the spanish dude

Why would I be envious of those goats?

Yes they have attempted to change the playing style before by bringing in players like deco, meireles and hiring attack minded managers. They failed simply because they got the balance wrong, will they learn from their mistakes? because if it all goes wrong again they will be forced to spend big in the following summer and that is when I feel abramovich may lose his patience

nothing in the world would make me happier than to see chelsea fail at this poitn. football is going down the shítter and it all started with them

they dont allow there managers the chance to learn from there mistakes, so im not sure who will have learnt anything plus mixing completely different playing styles is not going to give them team balance

In fairness, RDM had a worse league record than AVB last season.
Appointing him might well be a mistake.

@Gunnerthru: Chelsea were not the first and only ones. Look at Bayern Munich. How often did they buy the league titles? Even worse, how often did they waste cash on players just to weaken competitors?

Well they did give points in some games (against us in the Emirates included) but this was due to their CL exploits.
I agree that RDM is still largely unproven over the course of a whole season but I suspect he might turn out a success (unfortunately, also overtaking us in the league)
