What is with all the negativity? I really don't understand. Our transfer record from recent year has been superb.
GK: Kenny - He's only 35ish, superb age. Especially when we're building for the future as Warnock says. Warnocks most important signing.
RB: We don't have one. But I'm sure 3 weeks is more than enough to get to know, bond with and understand the style of play of his team-mates. With our clearly huge squad, he has plenty of time to learn everyones names.
CB: Lees&Pearce. Pearce, premier league quality, supposedly. A steal from a relegated team who's defence was rock solid. Lees, a great kid. Never bullied off the ball, superb in the air. Has an eye for a pass too.
LB: Drury. Wealth of experience. Got good reviews from previous club, the mighty Norwich. At 33 he has a point to prove, will have bundles of energy and is bound to stay injury free.
RM: Snodgrass has betrayed us. His wages at Norwich will be monsterous. Leaving Leeds just to benefit his Family, International career and bank balance is disgraceful. Varney has come in, superb player who was unfortunate to have been relegated last season. Premier league pedigree.
CM: Green, Brown, Chuck. With a combined age of roughly 90, we aren't shy of experience. Fitness won't be an issue whatsoever. These players have been seen on numerous occasions lifting neck weights. So seeing the ball soar over their heads all season won't be a problem. Clayton actually tried to play football and could score goals, no wonder he was sold
LM: White. Fast as anyone in this league. 100% sure to win his school sports day races. His crosses and finishing are sublime, a constant threat I'm sure. An all round proven winger.
ST: Becchio, Gray, Somma, McCormack. McCormack proving his loyalty by not handing in a transfer request. Repaying the fans for their loyalty to him well. Gray, again at a great age, has pace to burn and apparently is good to have in the changing rooms. You can decide what for... Somma, nice lad, poor finishing. His attitude also reeks, taking over a year off claiming an injury is a disgrace. Becchio, what is he thinking?! He wastes energy every match trying to show passion and desire.
Summary: It seems we are closer to constructing a rainbow than a promotion challenging squad. This is of course a tongue in cheek article, but in all seriousness, our squad sucks right now. Just for the record I admire Becchio, his work for us is second to none out of this current crop
In my eyes we need:
Right Wing: Snodgrass
Left Wing: Gradel
Striker: Beckford
Centre Back: Bamba
Right Back: Lichaj
Centre Mid: Howson
- --- Kenny ---
-- Lichaj -- Bamba -- Pearce -- White --
-- Snoddy -- Howson -- Austin -- Gradel --
- -- Becchio -- Beckford --
That starting eleven would win us promotion IMO. Would have only been 5 signings aswell but we all know what happens at Leeds United.
Bates Out. MOT.
Squad Coming Along Nicely...

It appears the 1 star bandit has no sense of humour (something we need in abundance as Leeds fans) so 5* from me

I see the sale of Snodgrass as a great opportunity. I mean what the hell do we need a midfield for anyway? Five accomplished cloggers across the back, and three goalhangers, ably assisted by a couple of Olynpic standard divers to win penalties and free kicks. Promotion? No problem, it's the Warnock way.
