So what tactics do people expect Sean O'Driscoll to utilise once we have our full squad in place? (with defenders obviously!!)
4-4-2
4-5-1
4-3-3
4-2-3-1
I reckon it'll be 4-3-3 as thats the formation of choice these days amongst the best passing teams which SOD firmly beleives in, but might be wrong! Think he played 4-3-3 at Donny mainly, anyone have any insights to what he might play?
Forest tactics under SOD?

Well after all the smoke I've been blowing up his ass for the last few days - it better not be hoofball!!
Those that can tackle, win the ball. They give it to those who can run with the ball & they in turn cross it to those who can fire it into the onion bag.
simples.
Formations are often brought on by necessity. We'll just have to wait and see what sort of team we've got available. How they are set up will wait for another day.
fast, crisp, accurate, movement, Passion, desire, aggression, imaginative ..... All words I really hope become synonymous with Nottingham forest again

"We want to play well and I’d rather we win but if we’re going to lose I’d rather we play well doing it".
"There is a Forest way of playing and we need to keep that in mind,"
"We have some really good players so, if we can let them do that, we will get the right kind of football."
"Hopefully people will enjoying what they see at the City Ground, whether we win, lose or draw."
Quotes..past and present. I reckon we will have the same attitude as Blackpool FC
Personally (and I hope I’m not wrong) I think we will be going for it big time.

I would like to know if o D is the type to stick to a formation and let other teams worry about it, maybe tweaking it here and there or will he wholeheartedly change the formation to suit the next game.

4-3-3 would seem to make sense
would not want to predict defence as we still don't really have one but midfield could look like
Pep - Moose - Cohen
and a front three of
Derbyshire - Dex - Miller
looks fairly strong, particularly in home games
You dont think that SOD will play Reid, his captain then?

is Reid captain?
i like Reid and if we play 4-5-1 then he makes the team! but if you play 4-3-3 i think you need mobility in your 3 midfielders and certainly cohen and pep give you that.
I could see 4-5-1 being an away formation, but as theleftpost says formations are just a means to and end, its how the players apprach then play the game that counts

difficult to say how we'll play at the moment.
4-3-3/4-5-1 variations seem pretty popular these days but we have a chronic shortage of wide players so i suppose it depends entirely on who comes in

How has this article escaped the attention of us Rams?
<insert derogatory 'formation-related' comment here>

Let's flood the midfield, like Spain.
We have enough of them.
