Performances against Aberdeen & Helsinki

Our last two performances are definet worry for me, Lennon is spoiled for choice with central midfielders and he wants to play them all. I can understand as Kayal, Wanayama, Brown and Ledley are all brilliant midfielders, but they are too similar.

None of them have that bit of magic to create chances. I thought this guy Ibrahim was supposed to be like that? he hasnt even had a sniff. Cant even make the squad. Strange signing by Lennon, bit like Ljungberg.

It was like watching the same games from Wednesday and yesterday. We were so predictacble. Get the ball out wide. Helsinki and Aberdeen had us both sussed out and we struggled. There was times we actually had three players on the wing playing triangles in the tightest of spaces just to cross it in to Hooper. It came off once and against Helsinki.

I appreciate the fact its hard to break teams down when they sit back but Lennon is going to have to get used to it and have a plan B, what worried me is when Helsinki actually decided to attack us we looked dodgy and conceded. They got their goal and sat back and we dominated again.

Its very early days and we will get better but Wednesday is going to be the biggest game of our season, Lennon will really haveto prove his worth tactically. A centre back is an absolute must, as is a big target man striker.

Shows how bad it is when Lennon is bringing on Daryl Murphy, a man who he has been trying to ship for the last 18 months.
