Looks like we're shipping another player out as Craig Bellamy is about to join Cardiff. Latest quote from SkySports:
We've also suspended betting on Craig Bellamy joining Cardiff due to lots of interest from punters on the winger moving from Liverpool.

If this turns out to be true, we will be desperately in need of another attacking midfielder / striker with the loss of Maxi, Kuyt and Bellamy.
I know it's still a while until the transfer window shuts, but I'm becoming increasingly worried that we are going to leave ourselves short of quality and will slip outside the top 6 again.
Craig Bellamy to Cardiff

It's funny how these idiots think Rodgers isn't trying to sign players, or that the owners aren't funding it, despite the opposite being said. Patience, every single year is the same with you people, there are reasons why deals take time and don't happen in the first minute of the transfer window, like you people think it should.
Clubs want the best deal they can get and that includes both the selling and buying parties. If you go straight in, you pay over the odds and in turn you get the reputation that we now have of paying over the odds and other clubs trying to up their prices when you bid. Rodgers has put an end to this. He wants value for money, he drives a good bargain and if we lose out, it may be negative for a season but it benefits us in the long run, which is what the plan is all about.
Patience, you fools.

Why do people think the manager is the one sealing the deal?

Bellamy was poor after the CC final.
We have Downing and Sterling who play in his position and his big wage will be better spent elsewhere.
I like Bellamy and am sure he will do well for Cardiff, but we will replace him and move on.
Just wait and see what happens before writing everyone from the owner to tea lady as a failure.

I really hope we keep Bellamy, nearly every game he played in, he made things happen and he can play all across the front three positions.

We didn't get top 4 last season. We had Kuyt, Maxi etc last season and still failed miserably. You think we would have gotten top 4 had they stayed? Prolly not. We wont get top 4 this season so I'd rather we spent it preparing for a proper onslaught for the following season rather than giving playing time to players at the end of their careers.
In fact, I feel people like Pacheco and Sterling will perform just as well if not better than the departees and contribute a bit more!!!

Pretty much everyone was.
I think people are getting stressed because they want fourth so much.
I also think people need to get used to the idea that we probably wont.

Bellamy was your stand out player for at least the first half of last season, and the only regular with any real pace.

Not really. Kenny was obsessed in playing Downing and Hendo and left Bellers and Maxi on the bench but when Bellers played i.e Blackburn game he ran the show and also lets not forget the FA Cup semi when he came on and made the difference.

Bellamy is an impact player. He will not play every week but he makes a difference.
Balance you have to make is whether his wages and the level of his participation are well matched. No point paying £90k a week for a sub/occasional starter.
So if he were moved on it's no wonder as LFC seem to be trying to off load high earners not giving value for money.
