My Tonto or should you be known as rainman now, I would never have guessed he meant Tyson.

I really don't want another Forest player at the club. If anything we should be looking at the reserve players higher up the league that are being released as I'm sure there's going to be potential that requires nurturing.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City will all have swelled there teams up to give less and less opportunity to youth of (possibly) League One / Championship standard and that's who I'd like the club to be looking at.

Jimbo did it with Higginbotham, Billy Davies with David Jones ( who was class with his left foot), Holloway with Ebanks-Blake whilst at Plymouth. Rodgers whilst at Swansea got Sinclair and Borini who were pure class for the Championship level.

There's bound to be lots of youth players with potential and Clough needs to find these gems higher up the league as well as lower down. I personally think Man City have got a lot of youth players who haven't been able to develop due to the star name signings. Remember, Stuart Pearce had to blood youth into the Man City squad and developed players like Micah Richards, Daniel Sturridge, Michael Johnson, Stephen Ireland (when he could be bothered) etc....

Don't care where players come from provided they have sufficient quality.

It's quite a good suggestion, but I've noticed sides like Burnley (from Man City) & Leicester (from Man Utd) & they still command fees (I assume). Dave Jones cost £1m. I think it's a good idea if a PL reserve striker, who has maybe scored regularly in a loan spell elsewhere, became available.

I think Clough has brought in a few players on loan from Arsenal, young fringe players (Barazite*, Gilles Sunu) & from Spurs. *Brought in by Jewell

If you look at PL reserves, Leicester picked up a winger from Stoke (Ben Marshall), but you could argue that Clough has given Hoganson, a reserve from Newcastle, a chance to earn a longer deal.

Interestingly, Sheff Wed were 2-0 down tonight and Chris Maguire was hauled off before HT after missing a good chance. Wednesday turned it round to win 4-2. It'll be interesting to see if Maguire starts on Saturday.

For youngsters like Hoganson & possibly Freeman, Derby represents both a chance & a challenge. They could forge a career at a reasonably big club and it's for them to take the opportunity offered.

Good potential from what i've seen and heard, could leave with a point to prove, and prove to be a decent signing.

Wouldn't of minded if he'd of been given a chance, but saying that, i don't think i'd loose much sleep.

He's brilliant, we'll accept £500k for him. Don't let the fact that we're not sure whether he's a left back or a right back and that we've had years without a left back but he hasn't been anywhere near playing put you off. He's a Welsh U-21 you know!

Seriously, I think he's decent, he played right back for Notts and looked steady. He's not particularly quick but is a decent footballer.

He's having a medical on friday, no upfront fee but a big sell on clause around 50%
