For whom shall the grass be greener?

Evening,

I think all us Rangers fans would agree that in a footballing perspective 2012 has been our annus horribilis, and I think it is fair to say that a lot of our fans feel let down by most of the players who left without even allowing us to be in a position where we could have received even a small transfer fee for them. Despite this I have always hoped that any player who leaves Rangers goes on to do well and I shall continue to do so......................Anyhoo, the point I am (eventually) getting to is of all those who have left us this year who do we think will flop and who do we think will be the success stories?

I have listed a few below..................

Allan McGregor Besiktas - Top Goalie, really expected him to end up in the EPL, I think he will shine in the Turkish league

Stephen Naismith Everton - I think Everton is a good club for him, very few players who go there seem to flop, if he can stay fit I think he will do well.

Stephen Whittaker Norwich City - Utter keech, he occasionally managed to stumble through a few tackles up here but I fear for him down South.

Sone Aluko Hull - Still young, I think he will do well in the Championship although I do think that is his level and he would struggle in EPL.

Rhys McCabe Shff Wed - Was gutted to lose him, he looks like a real prospect, if he gets game time I think he will shine.

Steven Davis Southampton - I think he will be a steady 6 or 7 out of 10 every week, I don't think he will look out of place, but doubt he will set the heather alight.

Jamie Ness Stoke City - I don't think he will get much game time and will probably end up injured if he does, I think he will be back in SPL before long.

Kyle Lafferty Sion - Don't know much about the standard of the Swiss league but I imagine it's higher than the SPL.........and he wasn't great here!

Kirk Broadfoot - Wishful thinking on my part

If I have missed any feel free to comment on them.

McGregor will be back before the end of August. i expected he would do better, perhaps 2nd choice goalie at a top 6 english team.

The big boy for Man City yesterday looked clumsy
