Has announced his retirement from professional football. Shame as I hoped he would be back playing again, he looked promising when he was at Arsenal as a youngster...

good!!
he's done the right thing, he's earned enough to live comfortably for the rest of his life, and at the end of the day, its only football.

don't think so but the insurance pay out will do that

It would have been too tough to get back to the premier league. The demands of top flight football would have been to stressful for his heart I guess.

what! even on 10k a week ~(which he'll have been on more than) he's earned over half a million quid in the last year alone, how much do you think he'll need

so even if he has 2mil in the bank in cash his only 24yrs old that's £40k a year if he live to74yrs old, most pay 50% tax and some of you may say they waste the rest on fast cars ,booze and girls. Kids in private schools a nice big house and £5k a week don't go far now days

im sure Muamba isnt that stupid that he doesnt know he has to change his life style.
if he has 2 mill in the bank, im sure that would be plenty to live on, interest alone would be enough to live on, if he choses to blow it, then thats his own fault and i'd have no sympathy for him in those regards
