Weakened Team Rule

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14166038.stm

Opinions? Good decision?

EDIT: What about the legitimacy of the league? Is it fair that one team gets to play a weaker team?

should never be a rule in the first place, man u and arsenal do it all the time but usually win but when someone like blackpool do it they get a fine. last season arsenal changed 10 players against wigan and ended up drawing but nothing happened to them

Good idea by Prem.

Clubs will have to answer to their fans if they put out weak sides and play like Sheffield.

Going by other posters on Leeds boards, you know the ones, the positively negative realists, we are already planning to offer up weakened teams every match we play?

These clowns at the PL make it up as they go along. A bit of common sense would have prevented Blackpool getting fined.

If they give Blackpool the money back is there any chance of the FL returning the money they stole off us when they fined us for fielding a weakened team in a match we won?
