I fear for Arsenal.....

im so tired of hearing this same old crap every year before the season start

here is a quote from Jamie

"I fear for Arsenal. You can't keep losing your best players every year. I love watching them play and Arsene Wenger has done an incredible job, but I think he's got too much on his plate. The pressure is on them and I feel they might not finish in a Champions League place. Robin van Persie pretty much single-handedly got them into third last year and I wonder where the goals will come from without him."

i can quote a bunch of other 'pundits"

but honestly, i dont care which player leaves as long as Arsene Wneger is the manager i wont be worried.

We've lost big players starting from Viera - Henry - Ade - Cesc - Nasir

yet we havn't lost our CL place and after losing Cesc - Nasir last year we finished lower when we had them.

Back to the point of the OP, i don't think the Media have any vendetta. If anything, our board is fuelling all the media news without them having to lift a finger.

I think there is more to it tbh.
Surely RVP was our best player last year but Modric is also Spurs best player and the coverage Spurs get is nothing compare to us!

kneerash, it is, but Liverpool are firm favourites to land Sahin. Like i said, Arsenal are trying to muscle in but i think he'll now go to Anfield.

Rvp to united is a much bigger story then modric to Madrid, modric saga is going on for 2 years now but whilst we all knew rvp could leave arsenal I doubt many of us thought he'd go to united

I read that lfc were willing to pay more of sahins wages too but agree it's been widely reported that he would like to play cl football. Apparently our md Ian ayre is in Spain to tie up the deal making it look mire likely he could come to lfc, saying that nothing would surprise me and the lad could still go anywhere.

From a neutral perpsective, I personally feel Arsenal look a lot stronger this season.

That is also true, although Arsenal back in with an improved wage offer.

The other issue is the loan itself. Liverpool have gone for a simple loan only, with first refusal if Madrid wanted to sell up. Arsenal are insisting on a sell-on clause at the end of the loan. Madrid want the loan only, thus making Liverpool favourites.

But the impression i get is that the Mourinho factor is the greatest. He wants Sahin to go to Liverpool.

Think overall the squad is certainly stronger for arsenal this year but rvp scored 39% of arsenals goals last season, that's allot of goals to replace gir and pod have to hit the ground running.

this team has goals in them.

if the strikers combined get us 20-30 between in them, i except the following from

Carzola -6-8 goals
Theo - 10-12 goals
Ox -4-6 goals
Gerihvio -8-10 goals

OP..

At least your admiting your clubs ambitions are now just to finish in the top 4, not to win anything and if your happy with that then all is good

What good is settling for just champions league place every season with no hope of winning it.
