Match Details:
Opponents: Wolves
Location: Elland Road
K.O: 12:45
My thoughts:
Last week was fairly straightforward, and we face Oxford in the next round.
So, Wolves. A tricky start to the season, but they've got to be favourites for promotion, despite their slightly shaky showing in the Cup midweek. Sigurðarson is a decent signing, I can't honestly think of another they've made, or anyone they've lost.
My prediction: 2-1 Wolves.
Matchday Topic:
Paddy Kennys last league game was the game that denied Man U the title. Whatever he does through the season, remember that fact.
Over to you:
As always, your thoughts predictions and commentary during the match is most welcome! The thread isn't the same without you so shoot your score predictions/predicted line ups at me!

Happy, AZA, in full agreement. Looks like we have a team that wants to work, work for each other, and give
a full account. Just like Happy, I'm happy as Larry.

Highland – I understand what you’re saying about the team, but I think last year’s players did knuckle down and play for a result some of the time, but the defence weren’t good enough to achieve it. Now they seem to be.

Larry won't be happy, his team lost.

Aye agreed Footshooter, but they didn't seem to instill the same confidence in me, with this lot i think we might be in for a pretty good season, i said earlier a bit of fine tuning and with the familiarity from playing more together i think we should be up there

battym Byram was a little shaky to start but grew as match progressed.
Am really pleased Warnock has shown faith in him as opposed to Grayson philosophy of getting a loanee in.
I think Mccormack offered a lot more than Varney today, think it should have been Varney being subbed. Didn't really like him elbowing player in face and then laughing in his face instead of apologising.

Varney has always been useless and no reason to believe he'd be any better this season. Shooting was woeful, passing mostly poor. Agreed. I'd have stuck McCormack out wide and taken Varney off. Better still, lets not put Varney on in the first place.

Hope you're right Highland. It's about time we had a good season.

Don't really like to big up opposition players, but honestly think Ebanks Blake has the potential to become the next Michael Ricketts.
Doesn't need to change much either, just a slight tweak here and there.
As with many professional athletes, maybe he's trying just a little bit too hard.
Could look at training regime too, maybe do a little less fitness work.
Then there's diet, a small increase in saturated fats wouldn't harm either.
Really think he can do it. Good look to the lad!
