It seems Spurs have realised after years of being the 4th London team "If you can't beat em, let em join you"
It's no wonder These players sensibly hold out and wait for the upper echelon to come along. They have ambition to play in the CL and be on the winning sides at Stamford Bridge and the Emirates
West Ham better watch out they'll be after Carroll next

Good news in a way though. Spurs declaring interest is usually what pushes the player to sign for whatever other club is interested.

I know. I have the same fear too however as long as Levy is there. Tottenham will stay where they are. At Porto, he had the dominant club at his disposal. At Chelsea, if he played his cards right. He had an owner who would buy anyone he wants. Unlimited funds. At Spurs, he's on a tight budget and has to use his resources very wisely
