Would be ideal for us, can play on either wing, and would offer competition for Bale and Lennon. and I think this is vital for our team to keep pressing and pushing.
I guess when you look at it, Bale and Lennon think they will play every week. they need to have a player that is as good as them pushing them all the way, they need to; be looking over their shoulder and thinking that they need to be performing every week.
I know we have registered interest in him, I've always been a massive fan and I really hope with the players that we've sold recently that money is there to spend.. Levy does not let this chance pass us by!
Gio, Bentley and Rose are not good enough as back ups, Johnson is!
That is all

I'd love to see him on the right, let's be honest Lennon's delivery has been inconsistent for the last few seasons, and I think with the trickery of Johnson he would be ideal,
I think he'd rather come to us than Liverpool?

Johnson would be a good addition but I prefer Gio

Johnson would fit in to the AVB way but I think Gio should get a chance

I'd love a team with at least two options on either wing
Gio, Bale, Lennon and Johnson.
Would be great for competition

Regardless of what the scousers think we are a more attractive club than Liverpool now days. But unfortunately we cannot offer Johnson guaranteed first team action which they can.

Deadknee
That's the problem, I think if he leaves he would want first team football, I would play Johnson over Lennon IMO

Townsend has had a cracking pre-season

I disagree that Lennons crossing has been inconsistent over the past few seasons, if anything it's got better, Johnson would be a great addition but i would like to see townsend a bit more, he looks good so far

Yeah I agree full back killer...
Lennon's crossing has improved significantly over the last few years. Yet conveniently everyone ignores the 4/5 good crosses of a match but soon as he over hits one the old bandwagon of "his final ball is a big weakness of his game etc..." to sound like they know what they are talking about. It really rattles my cage.
