Is there a more overrated footballer in the modern era? Hauled off in disgrace away to Osasuna where he was made to look a pub player in a game Barca trailed 1-0. With Xavi on the bench, he was asked to perform the role as the team playmaker, and despite being in plenty of space on numerous occasions, couldn't pass or shoot to save his life. Needless to say, Xavi came on in his place an Barca turned it around and won 2-1.
So funny saying this guy is the best midfielder of his generation, best midfielder in the world, etc. The reality is he isn't even the best midfielder in Catalonia.

I never said that. I think Xavi's the best midfielder in the world.
And I agree with you on the trait comparison.
Was just contesting your points about the positions. Xavi is not better than Iniesta in the attacking mid position. Plain and simple.

Iniesta isn't a bad player, he's world class but Xavi is better in both positions, he's played in attacking midfield plenty for Spain and sometimes for Barca and been very effective.
Fabregas, Pirlo and Ronaldo were easily better than Iniesta at the Euro's.
