Just checked wiki said Sheff United offered him a new deal and he rejected it this summer and only signed a 1 month contract with pompey this month.

Maybe Pompey can't afford to offer him a new deal with their finances.
Just glad he isn't a long term player at Pompey and we aren't doing an Everton by leeching off of their misfortune.
