There's not many active boards in the Championship to have a bit of pre/post-match discussion with but Leeds is certainly one of them so figured why not have a pre-match article.
Rovers go into the game in a very flattering position in the league. I think most of our fans would agree we were outplayed by Ipswich and Leicester and probably only deserved a point from Hull. I find this particularly worrying because none of the teams we've played so far have been that good. However its obvious we've got the players, particularly with the addition of Rhodes. So this season will likely be a case of Kean's incompetence vs the players ability. This game will be about as tough as they come and personally I expect us to struggle.
As for my limited knowledge of Leeds at the moment. Well they seem the opposite to us. A great manager for this level but a bafflingly weak team. Where does this money go thats generated by the insane ticket prices you guys get charged? Bates' back pocket would seem the obvious answer. El Hadji Diouf is an interesting addition given Warnock labelled him as a sewer rat who should be thrown out of the country a couple of years ago, but as we know at Rovers he can be a very useful player. Its been a good start for Leeds, with only a narrow defeat away at Blackpool taking points off them.
Having been relegated to the level most Yorkshire clubs play their football at (couldn't resist ), this will be one of numerous Roses derbies this season. Should be a good un!

Very very hard game this. Leeds are a good fighting team - never giving up and with some individually skillful players. Diouf will be up to prove a point to Kean - hope he starts and karate kicks Kean from the kick-off - that'd be great
Would be happy to come away with a draw from this game and think our bubble will be burst here.
Some of the comparisons are a bit off - Kean better than Allardyce?!!! Someone's been taking something illicit.
Fletcher comparison - yes he's proven - as a 12 goal a season man. A good enough return. The long term expectation for Rhodes are supposed to be higher but lets see. He's young and has got a good opportunity. Hopefully his signing is a real statement of intent from the owners with the minimum expected return being a playoff place - otherwise we will hopefully see Kean given his marching orders.
