Arsene Vs Accountability

I am not saying that Arsene is solely to blame for poor performances on the pitch and in the transfer window but I will argue strongly that he shares a high percentage of responsibility in these areas. After Song was sold, no one forced him to lie and say that 1) the squad is 'missing something' 2) he would strengthen and buy a 'special player'.

Arsene has always been forthright in his views regarding the running of the club and in hindsight some of his statements have turned out to be plain deception.

There is a growing feeling of resentment directed towards Arsene and the board. If results in the coming matches do not go our way, I would not be surprised if Arsenal fans are openly hostile to Arsene and the board....nor would I blame them. This reminds me of the old adage 'if you live by the sword, you die by the sword.

What annoys me the most is those Gooners, who I no longer consider to be overly optimistic but naive, blind and stupid who continually defend Arsene and the board when it is evident that our club is turning into an unambitious laughing stock.

If we don't get results in the next 3 matches, things will get nasty

"I mean see the difference between ,carzola and the rest of our new signings"

exactly, and that shows how abused us the fans are by the current regime. at least put a bluddy bid in for 1 more top quality player especially with losing Song.

I can't believe this nonsense. I thought we must have signed some one but will released late night or early morning and after I wake up I will get some good news...but WE SERIOUSLY HAVE NOT SIGNED ANY ONE feqing annoying........................gutted.

wenger has become a serial liar fooling the fans and protecting the board.

I used to listen to his press conferences with optimism.....now I just when he says "we're in the market, I will only sign top top players, diaby is a great player, walcott loves the club" etc

It is hard and difficult to guess who is liar...to be honest we don't know the reality and we will never know unless some one knows some one who is working at Arsenal board.

agree we don't know the inner workings but cmon....even in his press conference on thursday when wenger said "walcott loves the club" the journo replied "what like henry, vieira, fabregas and van persie?",

he's making himself look foolish

If you appreciate that there is more than one variable that determines our success, why do you choose to blame all of them?

I don't think Wenger was lying; once again, I think he wanted to sign a new player.
Look how long the Sahin transfer dragged out! Wenger has wanted Sahin since he first burst onto the scene in his teen years, and this was the perfect opportunity to get him, but he was not backed with the financial support necessary to push the transfer through.

What people don't understand is that Wenger doesn't actually negotiate the transfers of the club; the board (and in particular, Ivan Gazidis) do.

Over the years, Wenger has initiated negotiations for a number of players that would have boosted the quality of the club dramatically, but since Dein left, he hasn't had the support.

In fact, a prospective inability to support Wenger in the transfer market was the whole reason Dein left in the first place, and now we're seeing his prescience being realised.

Wenger himself has said it before; he's not an idiot, he knows where we needs to strengthen, and he wants to strengthen, but as with Mata, Alonso, and now Sahin, whenever a deal is initiated, the negotiations are protracted and seldom pushed through. This flaw stems from board level - not Wenger.

I agree with most of what you said but I doubt it it's why Dein left. Him and his sons practically ran the club. I dunno, I think Arsenal are covering up something, I dunno if it's something that Dein caused or what but I'm sure there is something not right within the club!
