What Happened to David Meyler

Did David Meyler of Sunderland not travel with the squad to Khakistan as he was delighted to be picked and was going to take the opportunity to impress Trap

Trap doesnt give chances to young players so he sat on the bench. He would pick Whelan and Andrews in every single game friendly's included if possible.
