Sir Alex deserves some credit

Loads of people on here are still moaning about the team we put out yesterday and demanding that Giggs and Scholes don't play against Liverpool next week etc.
The team Sir Alex put out against Wigan yesterday was great planning from Sir Alex. We have a ton of games in the next month and have a 25 man squad to choose from. Wigan at home is pretty much the easiest fixture we can hope for considering they never start playing until March. If we can't play Giggs, Scholes, Welbeck and Hernandez in the same team against Wigan when can we?

Surely all the moaning about last season was us resting players in the Champions League? Well, now we're resting players in the easier league games so we can play stronger teams in the Champions league so it would seem Sir Alex can't win in some of your eyes.

Anderson and Cleverley will be back for Liverpool and people will hopefully get off his back. I sometimes think that some people on here would want Sir Alex to pick our strongest 11 for every match and genuinely think it's possible to do that even though studies have shown that a lot of players who play 3 games in a week have a massively increased chance of injury.

Anyway, rant over but try and take the blinkers off and give Sir Alex credit. He put out a squad team and we still beat Wigan 4-0 and we even missed a penalty on top of that. What else would you like United to do?
Have you ever thought that maybe the squad players are hungrier for goals and recognition than some of the first teamers so are more likely to batter teams instead of take their foot off the gas for bigger battles down the line?

Red Resident,

What a load of balls! Any man on the street could tell you that Sir Alex got it badly wrong against City away last season, for example. Realising that doesn't make me or anyone else a 2 bit fan. It means we can actually analyse a situation and make our own judgement. He played Park in that game, who hadn't played for 6 weeks and was deemed surplus to requirements in the summer by the same manager. Where's the logic in that one?

As usual, let's fall back to the fergie cannot do no wrong mantra.

Above all things fergie has gotten wrong in 5 yrs, its the rotating which has lost the edge we used to have in previous yrs. I remember once fergie playing giggs and oshea in midfield a long period of time. For the first few months it was horrible! But eventually they got better. So much so they were good enough to start and win the carling cup.

That is a side of fergie we have not seen in a while and I wish we had because by now no one will have one doubt on many things. When you decide to play a certain team, you are able to decide what their true abilities are. Also, our injuries far less back then! History shows a trend of less injuries for players who played regularly.

It's not 'Fergie can do no wrong'.

It's just calling for a bit of respect for the guy.

Tomatoes, EVERYTHING you've ever posted in the history of me being here is a criticism of everything. You are not a supporter, you are a guy who just wants to be right. And guess what, yesterday you were dead wrong.

Seriously, the team he put out yesterday was perfect for the occasion and to get people playing time.

The sooner people like you actually go to the effort and say something nice for once about the team the sooner I can go on this site and see people who get behind the team instead of constantly finding ways to undermine them.

C'mon, if you were manager, how would you have improved on yesterday and still have some fresh players for Gala and Liverpool?

You're missing the point. I'm not asking people to say that he can do no wrong, ever but just for yesterday's team selection proving the vast majority of people on here wrong.
I don't know if you saw all the doom and gloom on here at 2:30 yesterday but it was pretty depressing.

I can't see why anyone would argue with the team selection yesterday? Do you genuinely think that 11 he put out would ever struggle with Wigan at home?

Of course not. I'm not asking people to give him credit for everything but yesterday people were saying some pretty stupid things about him yesterday and i'm just wanting people to admit they got it wrong.

Well funrob, i am seldom here before the match and i dont go on match threads.

His selection wasn't the greatest but it also wasn't the worst. Giggs was wasteful as usual but come on, we beat Wigan, at home? Is that really something we should celebrate?

SAF is too old, and so is red Scholes
Let's throw 'em both off the deck
SAF is senile, and Giggs old as the Nile,
Let's just play games wirth Welbeck.

Great point on the injury situation Tomatoes. We rest players to make sure they're fit at the end of the season but they usually wind up getting injured anyway, rendering the exercise meaningless.

For the life of me I cannot understand what all the fuss is about, this girl is a commoner, not even so called Royal and for her to be called a Princess let alone Queen is a joke, she is Miss Catherine Middleton, she is married, OK, her husband one of the many people in the Royal Family who supposedly have Royal blood, whatever that is, but what is her surname, Windsor, Wales, Saxe-Coburg-Gothe or something else? The notion that these people are somehow demi-gods and have mystery surrounding them is a fantasy, it is a myth.
