Jose

With the current team and style of play would you welcome the special one back to the Bridge with open arms, or say 'thank you but we've moved on'?

Obviously this is a redundant article as he is at Real and probably won't leave until he's won the champions league, but just hypothetically, would you have him back?

I would. He probably wouldn't suit our 'new' style of play but there is just something so brilliant about the man. Fills you with confidence that something will happen to turn a game around and would make the press conferences so much more interesting.

Nothing personal RDM.

No manager would get 6ft + players to play slick, one touch football.

Benzema, Ronaldo, Higuain, Di Maria, Alonso, Khedira are all 6ft plus.

And Ozil is just under 6ft

people need to stop pining after former managers/players etc.
I loved Jose when he was our manager got us winning things consistently, full of passion and his interviews were real box office stuff.
However generally I'd view him as an impact manage,r goes in, changes things around, wins a fair bit for a couple of seasons then it seems to stagnate.

Anyone that thinks that his Chelsea side wasnt on the slide towards the end of his reign is deluded, we were dreadful at the start of 07/08. You could say that virtually the same squad went on to have further success and you'd be right, however I doubt they would have under him, something was clearly not right.

Seems that Madrid are already too far behind Barca IMO and having watched most of the Madrid games thus far, they look pretty ropey and disinterested to me. So things look to be going a bit pear shaped there too.

Dont get me wrong I love the fella but wouldnt want him back it wouldnt be the same and if we werent successful, it would sour his past glories.

Lets move on.

Ill never be arrogant enough to claim victory for Chelsea before a match starts, but there was times under Jose i was 99% sure, even when we were 1-0 down (Bolton 5-1 for example).

The aura of confidence and assurance he brings is unrivaled.

This X100

I never worried about tactics or going a goal down under Jose. Even when we were 1-0 down to West Ham and down to 10 men I still had that belief. My belief went once Jose left and I've now reverted to type (Pessimist)

Bubbles

I can remember in 2004 under Claudio we were 1-0 at Highbury at half time, same with Jose in 2005.

One of them i was a wreck at half time knowing deep down Arsenal would come back in it the other i was calm, fully confident we would hold on.

As you say Tommy he inspired confidence. Recent Chelsea sides don't do it for me to the same extent

You knew with Mourinho, 9 times out of 10 if we were 1-0 up even if it was in the first 10 mins that was game over, shop closed and that we had won.

And 9 times out of 10 if we were 1-0 down you knew we'd win 2-1
