Szczesny's out

Come of it Melo. If Szczezzer had not dropped that effort, Mannone would never had got a mention.
Mannone is a decent keeper, but nothing more. If he continues with this level of play then i'll be happy with him being backup. But he's nothing more and certainly not competition for Szczesny.

The reason why a lot of our young players never get beyond a certain level is there's never any competition for their place. Even though Shez is comfortably the better keeper its good there's some competition for his place that way he never gets complacent.
Dropping Mannone sends out the wrong message to both players. I'm happy to see him in the team if his performances or stats merit it.

If Szczesny consistently plays badly then that's another matter but anyone can make a mistake,
-------
He's my favorite player in the club but he's been crap for close to 12 months now

I'm not against competition for Szczesny, and i think he needs that to progress. But Mannone is not competition. He's a stop gap until Szczesny returns.
It tells you alot that if Mannone let's in a clanger tomorrow and we lose, that'll be his career at Arsenal over.

Mannone is the Alex Manninger to Chesney's David Seaman.
And I'm fine with that.

I wouldn't say crap but I do think he's overrated, he's not a top class keeper yet. He makes silly errors sometimes but he's 22 so he's still learning.

You guys must be really bored!
Have a look at Sczc after he conceded the goal on Sat, he was clutching his ankle.
Its not a conspiracy he’s clearly injured, it’s a shame though, It would have been an ideal game to get Sczc’s confidence up especially against a Montpellier team who aren’t exactly firing on all cylinders in Ligue 1.

I don't rate him Melo he's still a rabbit in the headlights whenever the ball is in the air or he has to venture anywhere outside of the 6 yard box.
In saying that he's kept 2 clean sheets and deserves his chance
Pat Rice knows. Agree with him.
