Which teams have left a lasting impression on you for the way they played the game?
Watching Vieira, Pires, Bergkamp and Henry play is something that i'll never forget.
Seeing Eto'o, Messi, Henry, Yaya, Xavi, Iniesta et al set the footballing world on fire in 2009 was my favourite team to watch bar none...
Certain teams just make you smile and love the game more, you stand up and acknowledge greatness whilst being inspired to play the game and express yourself.
Who would you say has done this for you?
Beautiful football

Liverpool were involved in a lot of great games under Benitez, i stand by the opinion that he did a great job at both Valencia and liverpool and is a tactical genius.

Just a shame it didn't work out for him at Inter, but going into a club that has just won the treble was always going to be difficult to maintain anywhere near the same performance levels and to motivate the squad again.

Too many to mention.
For me, Ronaldinho's Barca were the most entertaining football side I've ever seen. Simply magical football. Not as good as this current one, but more entertaining in my view.
The great Arsenal teams of Bergkamp, Henry, Pires and co are notable entertainers.
Also United in 99-00 with that amazing Yorke and Cole partnership. And our side in 06-07. Our 7-1 against Roma is one of the finest performances I've seen from a United side.

I know, strange how Sir Alex and Jose Mourinho had issues with some of Wenger, Rafa, Guardiola etc during these periods

I wanted to include this, a lot of football fans love that team. They were as you say the most entertaining team .
Also i'd say the the 07-08 united team was extraordinary....remember when rooney was one of the most creative players in the world do things like chip david james (on his line) from 20 yards.
Or when Ronaldo was exciting to watch, truly explosive and a fantastic dribbler...not anymore!! They've become plain goalscorers if you ask me, effective...but i liked them before.

I don't think the 07-08 team was as entertaining as the season before. Ronaldo was better that season in my opinion, despite scoring less, he just had everything you wanted from a winger. His performance against Roma was his best in a United shirt.
The 08 team was better though. Jus didn't play as attractive football.
Yeah, I miss that Rooney. He's regressed a lot in that department. I don't think Ronaldo's dribbling is as good now as it was. But I'd say he's more than just a goal machine. He has so much to his game it's incredible.

Yeah the 07 team when united played in black away from home?
I remember Ronaldo at anfield that year, he'd go on runs in a the same manner as kaka - very difficult to dispossess and at lightning speed. He was a great entertainer..not a big fan anymore though tbh. He was better at United if you ask me and that's from a liverpool fan.
Rooney was colossus, he had no weaknesses back then. Nowadays he struggles to trap a ball and play simple passes.

Yes that was the season. We played with Saha and Rooney up top with Ronaldo and Giggs on the wings but all interchanged and produced some marvellous football. Alan Smith was very good that year as well.
I'd have to disagree that Ronaldo was better at United, and it pains me to say it. I didn't really think he could get much better than he was, but I watch a lot of Spanish fooball and think he has improved quite a bit in most aspects of his game, apart from his dribbling. He's a truly remarkable footballer whom has worked incredibly hard to reach the level he's at. He's not blessed with the natural talent Messi has, but it's a credit to him that he is spoken in the same breath as the Argentine magician.
Rooney had a lot of flaws in his game back then. But not as many as he does now. He didn't score enough, but at least if he wasn't scoring he had a huge influence over the game. Whereas now, of he doesn't score, he can often be detrimental to the side by his inability to help the side keep the balll.

It's crazy to think how far down Liverpool have gone so quick! I remember that team that came second and that truly was a title winning team! Torres at his best with Alonso, Gerrard in his prime and Mascherano behind him was pretty tough to beat!

Our 07/08 is one of the 'nearly' teams of recent times. Much like Germany of late, or Bayer Leverkusen of 2002
People who question Fabregas' ability should be pointed in the direction of the 07/08 season where he was dominating Premier League matches at the age of 20. Ended up being a disgusting season though
