Given his performance first half yesterday he is clearly well short of match fitness. I was surprised that SO'D put him in the side. Has he been magnificent in training or something?? I think not, judging by yesterday.
My suggestion is that he goes out on a Months loan somewhere to get some games and comesback match fit and ready for the team. This also make me think about Cohen too or would we expect more from him being put into the team. We have competition for places now we should not be in a situation to put players in the side when they are not ready.
Your thoughts?

I would prefer a Matchfit Moose to Greening, but that's just my view.

Have to agree with you on that but he certainly needs to get himself in shape, even if it's a few games in the reserves.

I'd prefer a match fit Greening.
Yes, I would wait until January and try to offload both if I'm honest. But I would prefer someone better than both. Like you say Gillett has made the position his own because there is no competition.
There is better out there. It was a big mistake to play him yesterday.
At least it will keep NLN guessing our lineup

NLN won't understand our line up if we published the team now!!! Clueless
I can't understand what they were looking at in training to play Moussi?

Nor me. SOD will sort it for next week.
At least Dex is banging them in
Good to see the scouses lost. Bottom 3
Shame they'll get out of it

He had one bad half? Give him a break!
You can't blame the manager for that. Course he wasn't sh8 in training otherwise he wouldn't have played him!
Same old Forest fans, overreact and criticise immediately without actually knowing any of the facts!
Some people need to realise that this team isn't where people believed it was a few games ago. It's not to say we can't get there, but not yet.

Moussi hasn't been up to scratch for a couple of seasons now IMO. His first touch isn't great, and I can't comment on his second touch cos he's normally given the ball away by then. He seems to panic, and offers absolutely nothing to our squad if I'm brutally honest.
You can at least rely on Greening to be fairly solid when he comes on. I get nervous every time the ball goes to Moussi. He always gives his all in fairness to him, and is likeable, but he's just not good enough.
We need better cover in the DM position, for sure!

Made my mind up the first time I saw him play. He just isn't good enough and as I said before, we can get better players now we are no longer under the constraints of the ND era

I agree he probably isn't great. But he can do a good enough job when called on. Decent enough squad player.
It's just the suggestion that SOD deliberately played a player go is out of form and wa playing badly in training I refute. SOD must have believed he could do a particular job for the team. One bad half doesn't mean he is wrong.

Whatever the reason for starting there's no logic for starting 2 defensive midfielders especially at the expense of an offensive midfielder. It should be Gilett OR Moussi never both!!! I think if anything we re suffering from having too many midfield options and not enough back up elsewhere? Guys like majewski, greening and up until now moussi aren't getting a look in whilst we have little or nothing in back up defensively. Harding is a worry, very poor positional sense and at the age of 27 I'm not sure he can improve as he's very absent minded. Quite a bit of ironing out for SOD to do and he needs to sort it quick. 2 wins in 7 with a very tough October ahead could put us on a back foot and I'm not convinced the al hasawi's will be too pleased with the return to date. Time for tinkering is over, pick the best 11 week in, week out! Pick it on form and if some players aren't happy then send them out on loan which I think needs to be done with a midfielder or two!

I'm not a big fan but agree that people are quick to make judgements, the crowd were wailing at every pass not hit forward v Palace too. Trouble with Moussi is that with the ball he's usually not good. If he were though he wouldn't be playing at our level as physically he's immense and can cover a ton of ground breaking up play. If things click perfectly for him he can have the odd cracking game, this is rare though. I'm not a fan of midfielders who can only perform well in one aspect of the game.
