Shrewsbury 0-1 Swindon

Disaster, my broadband is down so I'm doing this on my mobile which has a very small keyboard...expect lots of typos!

One word explains why we took the 3 points on Saturday - WORK. We closed them down from front to back. No one worked harder than Andy Williams who ran their defence ragged and was my Man of the Match.

It wasn't a classic and was the sort of game which in the past we would have got nothing from despite having more possession, particularly in the second half. I was staggered by the 6 changes. No idea why so many. Bessone isn't a right back and gave away possession to often for my liking. That aside the defence looked solid, Ward And Macca both looking assured. The first half was fairly even but after the half time changes we started to look much better and started to dominate. Miller was much more effective than Coke and Roberts quickly made an impression on the left. Despite our dominance we didnt score and I was starting to see us getting the late sucker punch and coming away with nothing. When the goal came it was appropriate that Williams and Ferry, two of our best players, were involved. We never looked on trouble for the remaining 15 minutes or so.

Work rate, fitness and playing together were all very evident. When I saw the initial line up I feared the worst...my nerves would have been spared if we'd started with the 11 that finished the game!

Collins had a tough afternoon and never really made an impression but kept trying and took his substitution well. He got a lot of stick from the home crowd.

Overall a very encouraging
performance...and 3 points too!

What kinda phone you got?..Some of the Android phones allow you to turn them into a "Wifi router" that you can connect to.

Can't do anything on my phone except call people. I, anyway wouldn't want it turned into a woofter fitter.
Don, a good post 'cos guys like me rely on sensible info from blokes like you.
We got 3 points & found out that Bessone & Coke might be lacking a bit. So, that in itself is a bonus - they will, no doubt, have to do a bit more training to get into the side. But, the fact that they were put in, must keep the squad morale together.

I have to agree with Red, great post and many thanks for going to the trouble to get it on here, 5 stars.

Bessone, now there is a question, is he really a "footballer" or is he someone with kicking ability and can run. I ask the question because from what I have seen, and from others have said, he is useless. Too slow, too tardy, no particular skill, no vision, lacks essentials, and doesn't seem to fit in where ever you put him. Probably an excellent bench warmer. I think he is the most lacking player we have had in a long time, in fact Alan O'Brien would run rings around him all game and AO'B can't get a club !!!!!

I don't really have any concerns about the rest of the squad from what I have seen, and Collins has been good, so he will come good again, but Bessone, maybe better if Bess gone.
