As another weekend and another trip northwards beckons, and Canioman voices his concerns over our spluttering strikers. Well excu........se me Canioman, we have all had our concerns for yonks, so why has it taken you sooooo long.
According to todays Swin Adver Canioman is berating his strikers and the rather feeble conversion rate between chances created and chances converted into goals. Nothing new there, this is League One, this is what League One strikers do, this is why they play in League One. If they were better, they would be playing in the Prem or the CCC.
I must admit though the work rate from Collins and Williams is to be admired, and there is no lack of effort or desire, just a lack of composure and accuracy, hence some weeks ago my comments about "wide woodwork Williams". However since then he has started to pop a few in, but not enough it seems.In the back ground Benson, what a star, still puts in those well timed runs and his shots are massively percentage wise on target, so they do find the net. Just a big shame he isn't a few years younger. His running never stops, but those old legs of his do tire and you cannot mock him for that, totally committed, good man.
It has been obvious that neither Williams or Collins are anywhere near as prolific as Austin or even Barn Door Billy in his last season, since the opening day of the season. Now it seems Canioman is beginning to tire of their wasteful ways, so I expect somebody to come in to bolster the ranks in January . Many others will say, "oh its early doors" etc, etc, heads in the sand, early doors ???? more like the revolving door in January if they don't improve. And to think we let Connell go after all the important goals he scored for us. Big shame it didn't work with Kerrouche, because he is made for League One, much more so than L.2.
We need some points at Bury, in fact we need to bury the ball into the net at Bury, but I suspect they may stick five across the middle and hope for damage limitation, so it will be interesting to see if we can adapt.

He was a striker himself. He signed all these guys. If you want a good striker, then you will have to pay serious money. With his record of picking them, would you risk the money?
None of what we have are game changers, unlike Austin & Cox.
They rely on the midfield to provide the chances, & that has been woeful.
Individually, I think that any of our players, Bessone excepted, could fit into a div 1 team. But we need a team that can work together. This is where DiC is going wrong, he signs individuals, then expects them to perform with other individuals.
I wouldn't be unhappy if West Ham poached him now, whilst he has still got some credibility & we could get some compensation.

i think you a bit in front of the game right now, I'll give him till Christmas. I think he will learn more, but we are desperate for a plan B, to counter teams with five across the middle.
Despite his nievety I think he is still able to learn and adapt. It must be very frustrating when you have played at the top level to coach players that are no where near your own level, some guys must be so frustrating to deal with. I know from my own experience in engineering, and I was never "the best" but yes I never stopped trying and adapting, and seeing others not wanting to do that just did my head in. I think he probably feels the same.

Someone who he will listen to, has to have a quiet word in his ear. Who that person might be, I don't know.
He came to the club & had some weeding to do before planting, but he had a base to work on, get the garden right before pl;anting anew. But the new plants don't work well with the established ones, & he blames the old ones, not his selection.
However, he has generated a bit of interest & got us promoted. But I wonder whether, now, he is going past his sell by date. I don't trust his signings. Wait until Xmas? Then it's too late. Only me, but if I were Mr Wray, I'd be having a talk with Bodin.

If you want to take it that far, in addition to Bodin I would also be speaking to Ling & Taylor and spend some of the compo on them. Torquay wouldn't just let them go, but I am sure that Wray if needed will have a word, long before it becomes a defining moment.

But I have just had a little snifter & feel better about life.
After all, we are 8th in a new league. Looking back 18 months, I would have settled for that. But we want more.

What more do you all want?. Wray said that we have a 5 year plan to get to where we all want to be, all i see here is negativity all the time. PDC is doing a good job here, we have a much bigger profile than most teams in league 1 and quite a few in the championship. So you all think that Bodin ,Ling and Taylor would do a good job for us, in your dreams , Bodin is good at the youth level but to be a manager imho he has not got the Xfactor. Ling has been doing the lower leagues now for at least 10 years and the only thing he has done is to get Orient promoted, great record , they would only stop the momentum that PDC is generating. We at the moment are 4th in the league, playing some of the best fooball ive seen at the CG in over 40 years of supporting the Town, yet we get the moaners , truly unbeliveable! PDC is still learning his trade but his record is second to none on other managers we have had, 14 or 15 defeats in all competions since he became manager, but yet people are still not satisfied. Long may he stay and i hope he puts 2 fingers up to the minorty who wish ill of him!!!!

Red, a team is made up of 11 individuals who when train and play together become a team, so of course he buys individuals, stupid statement to make.
Oh i know let PDC go and buy the Manutd team, is that what you mean !!!!!!
