Evening all.
Has anyone been to a game in Argentina? If so, what's the atmosphere like? Does it feel safe?
I'm going to be in Buenos Aires and am thinking about trying to catch a game however I'm a touch nervous about it. I've heard it's a bit extreme and not speaking any Spanish, well it's not ideal.
Just wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience.

Cabs are cheap anyway. Well they were when I last went. Oh ok, I saw the River got promoted so they might play them, but good luck getting tickets, they're like gold dust.
Hope you enjoy your time there. It's a nice city and not as dangerous as people think, you just have to be cautious, which is the same as anywhere.

Also, as lame as it sounds, get a bumbag. This helps 'when paying for things as you're less likely to have your wallet in hand and money on show'
-------------------------------------------------
Everybody knows that bumbags are where people keep their valuables, so a bumbag would attract attention and mark him out as a tourist ya

Keep only the money you think youll need down your sock with your credit card in case you run out.
Safest place.
I do it each time i go to any dodgy places - Kenya, Uganda, SA, India, etc

Not if it's under your coat or something. Plus, I actually saw loads of Argentine's wearing them anyway, do perhaps it's the fashion there.
