Carroll

Europa games (and CC too) for young Tommy for me - not physically ready to be risked in Prem action yet

Now that link nonsense is hopefully sorted, I have to say I have high hopes for Carroll (although only based on a limited number of times I've seen him, i.e. every time he's played for the first team).

I'm a big fan.

But he's definitely only 'one for the future' for me. We need more proven quality in CM in the short term. That should mean Hudd (also a great fan, but didn't like how the team was set up with his role at the weekend, and also thought he looked well off the pace, which most people haven't mentioned so perhaps that was only me) and others are definite starters ahead of him.

I can't really see what he can do for us right now, excpet go out on loan for more experience and to toughen up. We signed Dempsey and Siggy. Both have been disappointing so far, but both can play there. They haven't come good yet imo but going to Carroll would be a slap in the face for both of them. I'd also say he's behind Livermore.

I think we're really missing the signings AVB wanted - Moutinho and/or Willian. We're definitely missing a strong CM presence, and Tom isn't that yet.

But I want to see the lad do well, come on, and be the little magician most of us hope
