Mental strength

Here's what I have been thinking recently. Now I am a huge Wenger supporter, and am not one of those ridiculous plastic fans who wants him out, but I think I have one real (possible) problem. Arsene Wenger places so much emphasis on the psychological side of things, and really tries to work hard to make instill confidence in our players, and make them mentally strong.

But, for a long time now, I think we are one of the mentally weakest teams in the Premier league. Are players seem incapable of having the concept of consistency instilled into them, some of them are often gutless, some of them act like cry babies every time we lose and generally they seem mentally fragile and too easily effected by things that players in the other big teams wouldn't be affected by.

Now I don't know the ins and outs of how Wenger works, so it could be that he actually does a great job, and if it wasn't for him our players would be even weaker mentally. His philosophy regarding psychology works wonders in terms of developing youngsters, but I can't help but think that there must be a flaw or two in his logic. Can't our team just man up, because i'm sorry but too often they lack gut and motivation.
