Blessing in Disguise...

Man United may have won, but Chelsea have a history of playing well when they need to, so this result could well be a blessing in disguise. I would also add that Liverpool have only beaten us in recent seasons when we have essentially played 'relegation-football' under a struggling manager. Whereas we are now in-form, and utilising a style of football Liverpool are not accustomed to seeing us play. Some people may argue that the team will be tired after playing Shakhtar, but the average age of the team is now very young, and I would expect fitness levels to correspond to this. Given this, I'm confident of a win tomorrow.

I wouldn't technically say we are inform...

If anything, we were inform, now... We need to get back in form!

I think we'll lose or draw tomorrow.. Can't see us winning I'm afraid and I can see that bl00dy muppet Suarez causing us problems...

Yep. Love him or hate him. .He's one hell of a player. I hope Luiz doesnt start.

I hope we do the pressing tomorrow and not the other way around and I hope we start strong and not concede first. We need to be on it right from the off. Liverpool will be up for this. We need to be up for it too and not just when they score first

Agreed Mr C

But Brendan showed via the team he put out for the EL that the game tomorrow is far more important for Liverpool than progression in Europe

@Mr Chelsea

This season - This season we have been in losing positions agaisnt Norwich, Reading, Man United (C1C) and Tottenham, and won all of those games.

Last Season - Had to overcome a two-goal deficit agaisnt Napoli, and come back from a losing position agaisnt Bayern.

09/10 Season - Had to beat Man United away so we could go top of the league. Later that season, we needed to win our last game of the season agaisnt Wigan.

08/09 Season - Losing agaisnt Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-final, came back and won. We were losing agaisnt Arsenal in the semi-final of the FA Cup, and then Everton in the final. Obviously we won both.

07/08 Season - We were losing agaisnt Arsenal at home in the league, and then came back to win 2-1

06/07 Season - Two-goal deficit agaisnt Tottenham in the FA Cup. We won, and then won the competition.

Ultimately, when Chelsea 'are up agaisnt it', they do tend to show spirit.

In regards to our recent record agaisnt Liverpool,

I'm going to ignore our away fixture last season, as we were playing a second-string side.

Last season - When we played agaisnt Liverpool at home, tactical and personnel problems were evident in AVB's regime.

10/11 Season
- Liverpool away - The beginning of the infamous 'blip', and the decline of Ancelloti's tenure at Chelsea.
- Liverpool home - A continuation of the above.

When we last played agaisnt Liverpool without mitigating circumstances, namely the FA Cup final, we were clearly the better side for most of the match, and won.
