Friedal 6 - Perhaps a younger man would have been able to react quicker to the winner. Made a couple of important saves.

Walker 5 - Didn't look at the races. At fault for the first goal. Poor use of the ball.

Vertonghen 5- Looked okay until Maicon came on. Then was exposed. Offered nothing going forward.

Gallas 6 - Exposed by the high line on a few occasions.

Caulker 6 - Scored, but like Gallas looked like he struggled to contain Citys through balls.

Sandro 7 - Did well but got over run in the centre of midfield as the game went on.

Huddlestone 5 - Not the ideal partner for Sandro. Couldn't get on the ball, although he created the goal with his free kick.

Dempsey 1- Non existant.

Lennon 5 - Poor. Did little, but Bale Me Out feels he did well defensively so he gets up a point to 5 from my original 4 rating.

Bale 4 - Also did little, and failed to help Vertonghen when Maicon started destroying him.

Adebayor 7 - Worked hard all alone up top. Had no support from the attacking 3 midfielders for most of the game.

Naughton 5 - Couldn't get involved

Defoe 6 - Tried to get into the game, but came on much too late.
