Pathetic

Not not avb or the team, but the vast majority of so called spurs "supporters" who do nothing but moan. We are AWAY at the CHAMPIONS, of course were not gna make amazing attacking substitutions are we

Even if he did then we went on to lose he would be attacked for being naive. I cant believe he is being attacked for trying to shore up the defence when we were starting to get under some pressure. What do you want, him to put on a striker for a defender and make us even more open?

Do you think (hypothetically but has probably happened) mourinho takes off a defender for an attacker when drawing away at barca? Smh

in my personal opinion AVB needs to take blame for not addressing the left side.. we looked dodgy there. he needed to give vertonghen a rocket, or tell bale to cover more.

that said, we have been critical all season for playing defoe not ade for example, and now he plays ade and not defoe, and half the fan base want his head because defoe just scored a hatrick.

he could have used ade off defoe.. but again, half the fan base have been calling to see how dempsey is off a front man all season...........

I dont blame AVB at all, today we had a catalogue of injuries to key players.

The person I blame is Levy, he has left AVB with an inadequate squad incapable of riding injuries and selling VDV and replacing him with Dempsey is proving to be a massive mistake.

Vertonghen looked tired and is now suffering from playing almost every game so far, but AVB has been forced to play him due to our injuries.

How's the battle for top 10 gooonie?

I have supported AVB with my life, but today he has made some appalling team selections and even worse substitutions. Absolutely no excuses can be given for the way he and the team capitulated against a very poor City side, who were there for the taking, even with a weakened side out. Next weeks game is more a less a write off with me, because I know AVB will make the same mistakes with team selection.

I understand this article, and the people who backed AVB from the start shouldn't turn on him so quickly.

However, people like me, were against AVB from day one. I genuinely believe he is so inept, the only way we can go forward is getting rid of him.

Now Sandy, I have never accused you of being reactionary (since our last game on Thursday at least ).

That said, I thought it was very poor today from the team selection, through to individual performances (some non-existent imo), to the system, to substitutions.

A bad day at the office, that's for sure.

But I still say that AVB needs at least until the end of the season to get it all together and prove himself (or not).

Yes we played the Champions, the same Champions who haven't looked as strong this season, the same champions who look set to get knocked out of the Champions League. We are Spurs for goodness sake, we aint some weak team that should be fine at losing to City all because they are Champions. If we had the right mentality, we could and should have beaten City.
