S.B.Williams - Roosters

It will be announced tomorrow that $BW has signed to play NRL with the Sydney Roosters....
I personally couldn't give a damn and the only people excited about this move back from Union are the desperate Rooster's supporters who think he will make a huge difference.
People seem to forget the sort of footy he was playing before he left the NRL....very ordinary indeed.
It took Mark Gasnier half a season to gain anything like his old form.
Williams will need at least 3 months just to bulk back up again besides get used to the physical side of playing back in the forwards and expected to make some one on one tackles.
He will also have to get used to the crowd giving him plenty of stick as well.....we still remember his actions on leaving the NRL...."GRUB"

That's where the problem lies vik....SBW will be going from 2-3 tackles per union game and is expected to do 20-30 in league.....without mentioning the metres gained, with ball in hand not chasing a kick...he will struggle in the beginning.

It's not been released yet.....but part of his deal I believe will allow him to participate in boxing....which has been tried by other players but regected because of injury concerns.

One year contract vik, and he is not joining his new team mates until Feb. where his mates have already stared pre-season training.
He is not committed to play for N.Z next Nov in the world cup either.
So the way I look at it, the Roosters are forking out big bucks for injured player who will need half a season to get anywhere near his best......bad decision Roosters.

Should never been allowed back into Rugby League.
He walked out on a contract, which still had 4 years to run.
After playing union i doubt if his fitness levels will be good enough to play our game.

SBW is a fruit-loop....The Roosters organised a press conference to make this big announcement in order to bring attention to the club and it's sponsors etc. etc. and Williams comes out with...."my true love of sport is with rugby union"..
