I was watching the replay of Match of the Day this morning and I did see our result. Ok yes, we did fail to take points from the game where maybe we could and possibly should have done, but their are a good number of positives to take from the game. If the penalty incident went our way, we probably would have scored it to make it 3-3.
Anyway, I must say, our defence was tidy or better than last week I must say. But I think Gorkss needs replacing and for Pearce to come back in. es, I do understand he is a big lad and he does score a couple of headers but Morrison is only going to improve on his goal and his performances and Pearce is a Top CB for us so we need him back in really.
But yes, Sean Morrison. 21 years old, a young chap, getting games and is improving every week. He deserves his place in the first team. His goal was there to prove that. Like Gorkss and pearce, another big fella and tough to deal with in the box and is an aerial threat. Speculation over the summer that Huddersfield were going to come in for him, don't think that was true and glad we kept him. He needs to keep improving, keep performing and sooner or later we will be rising up the ranks.
Le Fondre is another person who is improving and adapting to the Premier League. Didn't score against Wigan but was a real handful and Wigan's 3 CB's struggled to contain him and Roberts. Has a great all around game as he can hold it up, link up and bring others into play and he can flick it on towards Roberts to hold up and he has a good burst of pace on him. The most important thing is, we know that he can finish. He did miss a couple of chances yesterday but no one scores all the time. He could be our top goalscorer come the end of the season.
I also think that our formation is working well. 4-4-2 seems to suit us rather than a packed midfield. I think to improve upon we may need another ST and to possibly loan Church out as our strikers are all very similar. They are heavy lads that like to hold up the ball as they have a good amount of body strength. However, I think we need a pacey striker who can finish who can work with Le Fondre/Roberts/Pogbrenyak as all 3 can hold up the ball well.
Lets not too down after that though. You may correct me if I am wrong but I think that is 2 defeats in 8 games now? Or 1 defeat in 5 or something? So lets look up! Results haven't really gone in our favour but we have a chance to put that right against Villa on Tuesday.
Improvements?

We definitely need a new centre back, probably a new left too.
Another CM with a bit more Premier League experience would be nice too.
I think we're fine up front, I do like our options of Big Jay, The Pog and Le Fondre.
I'm pretty sure Church has already been loaned out though...

Pearce will end up coming in at CB I think instead of Gorkss.
Guthrie a good enough CM alongside Karacan would be ideal.
Le Fondre and Roberts is ok, just need a better ST than Roberts.
Church can go out on loan just incase we do go down this season and we keep him.

Church is already out on loan at Huddersfield.
Roberts has been really good this season, I think he's good enough plus we do still have the Pog.

Is he getting games?
