Well who are the 5 to be let go by Lee Clark this summer?
Thats the question ive been asking myself since Lee Clark announced that his squad is too big, a massive 32 players on the books, and that he was to cut the playing staff by 5.

We all know the 2 already to go, Messrs Clarke and Simpson, but whos also going to be given the boot?
My money, unfortunately, is on Gary Roberts being the 3rd, although perhaps wouldnt ordinarily have been in there had he not rejected a new deal past the end of this new season. The other 2 are maybe harder to predict but im going to suggest 4 and 5:
Tom Clarke - has been a 'useful' squad player since he broke onto the scene and one which in my opinion, has not reached his full potential at Town. I think the time is best for both him and the club to part company. I doubt, he will be released, but i cant see him attracting much of a fee, if any, so maybe a move to reduce the wage bill?
Joey Gudjonsson - might be a slightly controversial choice, but everyone must admit, he hasnt exactly set League 1 alight has he? I think even Lee Clark expected more from him and given that he will be one of the highers earners, it might be time to get rid now. I know he has the potential to be a great player for us, but i dont think he has the required desire to lead us forward.
I suppose, you could throw in Alan Lee into the mix to let go as well, but given we paid a fee for him, i doubt he will just be released. Again, we would need a fee for him, but who's going to pay it? His wage demands wont be small either, so most teams in this league and below wont be able to afford him.
What do you guys think? Do you agree or disagree with the above? Who do you think should be given their P45 and leave HD1?
Is everyone confident in just the '5' being released? Do more need to go or is Lee Clark going too far???
Its going to be an interesting next couple of weeks thats for sure!!!
Who are the 5???

Well Cryer, I would have completely agreed with your above comment. That is until Anderson came out of his shell and showed just how precious he can be with that new ball!
Did you see the Raina LBW that Bowden failed to give? Usually spot on is old bowfinger Billy but he had me seething with that one

I've commented on that Singh guy's one instead. I think Red Indian is quite possibly the biggest WUM I've seen yet on this site so generally avoid everything he posts.
I'll go check it out tho.....

The Bowden decision was ridiculous. He always has been second rate.
Not sure why Doni messed around with the batting order. Was really surprising how the top order collapsed...... But like I said, they really do need some well needed batting practice. It smacks of arrogance to suggest that India think they can come and play a test series in England with only one warm up game. Batters 8 - 10 really are rabbits of the worst variety.

Best umpires are Simon Taufell & Alim Dar, hope they are umpiring during this series.

Cryer,
He was forced to mess around. Sachin was off for 7 hours or so, and apparently they have to wait that amount of time to bat. Gambir was also off with his elbow injury so likewise he had to wait.
I didn't know this rule until it happened, so thought I'd let you know

Oh right Champers, I didn't watch much as I was busy, kept picking up 10 mins here and there until mid-afternoon. I didnt realize they were I'll or whatever. I know Sachin was I'll first day but he said he was much better.
