Please help to free Sgt Danny Nightingale

So is that ,the whole world seems to have gone political correct.This is just utter nonsense free the guy!

Disgusting but not surprising with the ridiculous PC brigade that we have in this country.

Seems somewhat logical.

I don't want to put a damper on this,but Sgt Nightingale pleaded guilty to the charge,thereby accepting his guit.

He was legally represented. He would have had to agree and get CPS to accept a 'basis of plea' which means the exact circumstances are agreed by both the defence and prosecution.

This allows the judge to sentence according to similar cases- known as case law.

Therefore any argument about him not knwong what was going on is wrong I am afraid.

In civie street,tihs offence starts off with a 3-5 year sentence.

Do I think it is wrong- of course I do,but we need to,understand the detail.

You seem to have posted this on a sports forum, try politics.

I doubt a petition will do very much if he's already pleaded guilty to the charge.

Sergeant Nightingale has been released after his 18 month sentence for illegally possessing a pistol was cut and suspended by the Court of Appeal.

Good news that the appeal sentence is commensurate with the facts,but please don't lose sight that,at present,this man is a convicted firearms offender.

Remember also he pleaded guilty to the offences,thereby accepting the facts of the case.

Terrorists are free to roam the country yet this man is hung drawn and quartered and now has a criminal record ?
The British army !!!! Don't waste your time kids.
