Chin up Chelsea!
Firstly, for a BIG CLUB like Chelsea to go out of the Champions League group stages is to an extent embarrassing. Chelsea have been for a decade now a big club and won the Champions League which no one can take away. Being the first capital club to win it has certainly cemented this status along with the fact that one of the worlds greatest ever strikers to grace the moden game Dider 'unplayable, beast, slayer et.al' Drogba was the man who nailed it. This cannot and can never be downplayed by rival fans especially Tottenham Hotspur supporters.
Now back to the failure of defending title. I was speaking to a Liverpool fan this morning who said "Chelsea are shocking, to go out the group stages is embarrassing, give it a go at defending it. Semi minimum requirement".
I replied "hold on there fella, now at least be fair in your comments and put things into perspective at least. Chelsea had a tough group, it would have been fair to swap one of Juve or Shakhtar with one of the minnows in Uniteds group, nonetheless Chelsea still should've qualified I agree.......However, Semis at least???? Only Barcelona and perhaps Man United can say they gave the defense a real go.....In 2006 your very own European Champs Liverpool crashed out in the second round to Benfica, YOU DIDNT EVEN SCORE A GOAL IN BOTH LEGS, didnt even make the quarters, was it worth it????? In 2008 Champions AC Milan also went out in the second round to Arsenal, they didnt even score a goal in either leg. In 2011 Inter made the quarters but got humilated by Tottenham and went out to a poor Schalke outfit in the quarters.
So from the examples above, I can't see the chasm in difference of how Chelsea going out in the group phase is much more of a failure than noteable holders Liverpool and Ac Milan who couldnt even make the quarters and net a single goal in 180 minutes of a knockout round. Some title defenses they were.
Final point. It was RDMs fault Chelsea are out of Europe. Not Romans, not Rafas. Get behind Chelsea and get behind the team. Win the World Club Cup, create a new song, try and win the Carling Cup, and go forth in Amsterdam!!!!!!!!!
Don't listen to the haters

I won't name names, but every team has some bitter fans, not just Tottenham.

I dont mind bitter fans, as such. I just dislike inconsistent ones. Ones who change their minds depending on the weather, ie. one minute Harry's great, AVB useless - 5 months later AVB is great, Harry's useless.

IMO Harry was great, should never of had been sacked. I told my Spurs pal maybe Levy has been influenced by Roman sacking managers and still winning???
As for AVB, he failed badly at Chelsea and couldnt handle his players unfortunately. I think hes learned his lesson and will fare better at Tottenham, seeing as he is allowing Christmas parties.
Besides that Tottenham fans can take satisfaction in that you don't really waste money and buy rubbish players e.g Dembele.

My gripe isnt so much about what statement re Harry or AVB is true. It’s more about the way certain posters change opinion depending on what board they are on. I call them nodding dogs, whereby they just agree with the OP to make friends or be popular on their own club board, or try to WUM other boards, again to claim popularity amongst their own board posters.
If a Spurs poster didn’t like Harry – that’s fine. If a Spurs poster didn’t like AVB – that’s fine too. What I don’t respect, is posters who change their opinion by club-generic, and not by consistent genuine opinion.
For example, if i were to say Chelsea’s player X is rubbish, it would be daft for me to claim he is the brightest prospect to come into football the minute he joins Spurs.

You seem pretty frustrated by that so I trust and understand your judgement. People need to be consistent or at least own up if they are changing thier views.
Fans are fickle, the worst ones are the ones argue or even agree with you then change thier opinion and saying thats how they felt from day 1.
