Kasper....

Very few keepers make no mistakes. Top premiership keepers make goose ups.

Nobody would argue Joe Hart is a magnificent goalkeeper but has been at fault for 3 goals I know of this season.

Whilst goose ups are frustrating - they happen.

It’s unfortunate for the Leeds fans that seem to want him to fail, but Kasper has been a very good signing for us. He was magnificent for us last season and was my player of the season, so it seems natural that he might struggle to maintain that sort of form forever.

I do think that he’s not been as great this season. I would say that he takes a large proportion of the blame for the Crystal Palace goal and most of the blame for the Barnsley one. This is balanced against his winning the points for us with the Brighton penalty save and other instances where he has kept us in the game. His decision making is sometimes a little suspect about when to come for the ball and his distribution is inconsistent and sometimes poor.

These are all things that can be worked on and learnt, however, and I have no problems with his natural ability as a fine shot stopper and goalkeeper. We should remember that he is only mid twenties, which is still pretty young for a goalkeeper, and I have no doubt that he’ll go on to grace the Premier League in the long term. I just hope it’s with us.

How far would you go back to find a better foxes keeper?

10 years?? say no more.

All keepers will make mistakes from time to time, on this occasion the team didn't convert enough of the shots on target.

Best keeper since Kevin Poole & Ian walker wasn't a bad goalie for us. His kicking is a bit down on last season but I have total confidence in him and personally think there is no better to have over the others in the championship.

Errr .... Kasey Keller and Tim Flowers weren't any good then?

I'd much prefer an article that highlights the number of goals Kasper has saved us 3 points from.

You'll probably find these outweigh the mistakes be it excusable or not highlighted.

I would agree with Kasey and Walker......but then again was this more than 10 years ago?

We have got the best goal keeper we've had in 10 years yet some are questioning his reliability!!!

Perhaps the best thing to say about Kasper is that he looks comfortable in goal. He has a perception of reliability and carries himself well on the pitch. That's half the battle won.

He clearly has ability and any keeper can make a mistake. However, I'm not convinced that he has been in the best of form this season. For instance, I can recall several times this season when the opposition goalkeeper has kept his team in the match. I can't recall many where Kasper's done the same and pulled off saves when I've thought: They've scored here.

Admittedly I don't get to many away games, but this is what I've seen. I think he could be doing better. However, it's not nearly bad enough to have me doing what one fan did on the after-match moan-in and call for Conrad Logan to start.
