Went to watch this last night and SP the night before
And my review is
Both excellent
Hobbit - Decent, epic, just like the book and I suggest watching this in IMAX and 3D!
Seven Psychopaths - Up there for film of the year, so funny, makers of In Bruges. WATCH THIS ALSO!
That's all pals
Like me know

Yeah and you actually see Saruman get stabbed by Grima instead of being 'locked in his tower'. Gimli is an amazing character.

Wonder if they'll shoehorn a baby Gimli (son of Gloin wasn't he?) complete with baby-beard into the ending of the Hobbit

Indeed he was. That would be brilliant, baby-beard

The Pratchett Discworld books are quite good on the dwarves...they all have beards, male or female, dating is quite a difficult proposition
I really do recommend that unabridged audiobook of the Fellowship on youtube (it's the very long one in two parts) - it makes you take in the detail of the whole thing, rather than just skipping quite quickly over the slower bits to get to 'the action'. Tom Bombadil was for me rather dull in the book and I must have skimmed because I didn't even really remember it, but in the audiobook I really enjoyed it

Halfway through watching The Hobbit online, and they've really effed it up so far
They said The Lord of the Rings was unfilmable, but the results, while mixed, were overall decent.
I reckoned you couldn't eff up a film of The Hobbit, but so far Jackson (of whom I'm a huge fan) has done a right royal job

Dear god what a filmic mess that was
A complete insult to Tolkien's incredible book, too
Still, Gollum was effing AMAZING
And the bit where Radaghast had a toke was amusing, reminded me of when we could smoke in the cinema and loads of us would pile in for a spliff session

The book isn't reflective of the film. They've changed alot.

They've effed it, totally. Messing just for messing's sake. As I posted elsewhere 'I swear about 1/4 of the film was them all on a bridge/mountain pass/tree/giant d1ldo (might as well have been!) that then drops into an endless abyss, killing all the enemies but leaving them unscathed.'
Yeah ja, it was alright - probably really decent if you're not a fan of the book. Gollum made it worth watching alone
