Let me get the ball rolling, did anyone see the incident in the singing section of the Richard Donald on Saturday? If no...basically the stewards tried to get the fans to sit down (in the designated SINGING section must i highlight again) and then there were disagreements exchanged. Then when a couple of the stewards appeared (never really had a good view) wrestled an older guy to the ground a few of the other fans rushed over and gave the stewards and police a piece of their mind. I also found it brilliant that most of the top deck allmost everyone stood up when we started to sing "Stand up for the Aberdeen" (it was bloody class) .
I used to sit with them in the Y section of the South and when we got complaints down there as well (although i still didn't understand why) their was some sort of understanding that maybe people couldn't see the game. But at the very back of the top deck, surely that cant be an issue. They keep moaning about low attendances, well this negative attitude towards fans trying to simply create a bit of atmosphere can't exactly help matters.
But o-well rant over, thought on the St Mirren game (line-up, score, etc)??

Yes. Totally agree it is a complete nonsense getting people to sit down at games, esp in the singing section. It doesn't exactly foster an atmosphere that will gee up the players.
I'm continuing my optimism about the new season and will go for the Dandies beating St Mirren by 2 on Saturday. Goals from Fyvie and Vernon.

Sat with the Aberdeen fans quite a bit as work up here. Have to say I have never understood why they singing section is at the back of the DD stand? I would have thought it would be better right at pitch level to get right behind the team. So much of the atmosphere is lost as they are stuck up the back
I have sat in the Shed end at Tannadice and the atmosphere is a lot better as they are right at the front and seem to get them going a lot more.
The green brigade at Celtic also have the lower tier in the corner and seem to generate a better atmosphere too.

I'll go for 1-0 Aberdeen, Vernon to score. Apparently he's been saying he wants 20 goals this year. I would like that.

Yes very quiet, think everyone has gone over to Aberdeen-Mad.
A bit disappointed with last Sats result although we seemed to play well enough, so I'll go for a 2-0 win at St M.
